This clay is awesome for holiday time it makes great Holiday Ornaments
Materials Needed:
1 1/2 cups ground cinnamon
1 cup applesauce
1/3 cup white school glue
1 medium mixing bowl
Flat surface for kneading
Wax paper
Rolling Pin
Cookie Cutters
Knife Straw
Non-Stick Cooling rack
Ribbon
Puffy paint or glitter glue optional
Directions:
1. Mix Cinnamon, applesauce, and glue together in a bowl
2. Remove from the bowl and knead the mixture until it turns to firm clay
3. Let sit for 30 minutes
4. Clay is best if used at room temperature. You may need to dust the rolling pin, hands and working surface with cinnamon or use work surface
5. Roll out clay with rolling pin to app. 1/8 of an inch thick
6. Use cutters to cut out desired shape
7. If you are going to hand your shapes, use a straw to cut out a hole near the top of the shape
8. Place shapes on non-stick cooling rack or wax paper. You will need to keep an eye on them and turn them over occasionally so that they are dry evenly and dry flat
9. Dry shapes for app. 5 days
10. When dry you may put a ribbon through the hole for hanging on the tree or adding to a package.
11. Decorate with puffy paint or glitter glue if desired
